Audio Alchemy- Recording and Engineering 101

This workshop is designed for beginners and all skill levels to learn the basics of recording a vocal session in Protools. We will cover how to be a productive and effective engineer, how to build an intuitive energetic relationship with your clients, and actively help them co-create the vision for their song.  

Ascension cofounder and head engineer Smoke and participants will be recording a session from start to finish with the very talented Chelsee Elizabetta! 

We will focus on things like:

-Mic Positioning

-Getting In Tune With Your Client

-Basic Protools Recording Setup 

-How to Capture Clean Recordings 

-Vocal Layering

-Vocal Coaching

-Studio & Demo Mixing

We will be doing Q&A throughout the session and at the end discuss the opportunity for ongoing mentorship and access for new engineers to record and build their clientele at Ascension!
